We Built the Western Slope's First Interactive Food Truck and Farmstand Map - Here's What We've Learned

If you've ever driven past a food truck lot wondering who's open today, or found yourself wondering if there was a neighbor nearby selling farm-fresh eggs, freshly baked bread, or fresh fruit and vegetables, you're not alone. The Western Slope has an incredible community of local food vendors, but until now, there was no single place to find them all.

So we built one. Two of them, actually.

The Western Slope Food Truck Map

The Food Truck Map launched as a free, community-driven directory for every food truck operating on Colorado's Western Slope. Today, we have 35 active food trucks listed across Grand Junction, Montrose, Rifle, Delta, and beyond, each with their own live schedule, location, and hours.

What makes it different

• •Real-time open/closed status - When you load the map, you instantly see which trucks are open right now, based on their weekly schedule.
• •Live Location Overrides - Trucks can pin their exact location for the day when they're at a pop-up event or a new spot. The map updates in real time.
• •Weekly and Monthly Scheduling - Some trucks operate on a fixed weekly schedule; others work event-to-event. Both modes are fully supported.
• •Vacation Mode - Trucks that are closed for a stretch can flag their listing so nobody shows up to an empty parking lot.
• •Shareable Schedule Graphics - Every truck can generate a beautiful, ready-to-post social media graphic of their weekly schedule with one click. No design skills needed.
• •Free to List - Joining the directory is completely free for food truck operators.

The Western Slope Farmstands and Farmers Markets Map

The Farmstands Map grew out of a simple idea: what if you could find every local farmstand and farmers market in one place? It has grown into something we're genuinely proud of.

We now have 90 approved listings on the map, including:

• •69 farmstands - roadside stands, hobby farms, honor-system produce boxes, raw honey sellers, flower farms, and more
• •21 farmers markets - a complete, weekly-updated guide to every outdoor market operating across the Western Slope this season

What makes it different

• •Farmers market schedule - All 21 farmers markets are mapped with their full operating hours and season dates. Markets are only shown during their active season, so the map is always current.
• •Seasonal awareness - Listings include season open and close dates, so you're never caught off guard by a market that wrapped up weeks ago.
• •Product filtering - Looking for raw honey? Fresh-cut flowers? Pasture-raised eggs? Filter the directory by what you're actually looking for.
• •Owner-verified profiles - 95% of farmstand listings have been directly verified by their owners, who manage their own hours, products, photos, and specials.
• •Weekly farmers market guide graphic - We generate a beautiful, shareable social media graphic of the full weekly schedule, perfect for posting every week to Facebook or Instagram.
