Finding Our Home on the Western Slope

My name is Matt, and I've been creating websites since I was 11 years old. With over 25 years of experience, I've built everything from personal blogs to complex small business sites and campaign websites for candidates across the Southwest.

My wife Sarah and I, both born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, have been married for 16 years. We ran our own business for 6 years before deciding it was time for a change. In late 2024, we sold our business and packed up our lives (along with our 6-year-old Pomeranian, PomPom) to escape the Phoenix heat.

We settled in the Western Slope by mistake. While traveling through SE Utah on our way to SW Utah, our new truck's transmission went out in Moab. We were towed to the nearest Toyota dealership—shoutout to Ken at Western Slope Toyota in Grand Junction!

While waiting for the repair, we explored Grand Junction and Fruita and simply fell in love. We immediately knew this was the community we wanted to be part of, and we’ve been here ever since.

Co-founded and operated an independent business in Phoenix, AZ alongside my wife Sarah for 6 years, before successfully selling the company to relocate.

Proud volunteer at the Fruita Fall Festival and the Mike the Headless Chicken Festival. We love meeting neighbors and actively participating in our new community.
